The American Way

Got cancer? Don't try to heal yourself the natural way, the corporate lobbyists won't be having it, and neither will the fascist kleptocracy called the U.S. Congress.

Wanna live a healthy life without pills? Good luck. It's practically illegal to heal yourself outside of the pharmaceutical totalitarian complex.

Having a bad day? Try one of the many legal prescription and for-profit mood enhancing pills. If they don't work, you doctor will give you more.

Can't afford your home because of the medical bills? Well, no one said living was suppose to be cheap, and everyone has to make sacrifices, except the bankers.

Whatever you do, DON'T use plant medicines, that will inevitably land you in jail.

If America today seems a lot like a novel by Aldous Huxley or George Orwell, you are too smart for your own good. Go watch some reality TV or something, and take some pills while your at it, followed by a round of Budweiser and cigarettes.

Don't think, just consume. It's the American way.

I admire Jesus Christ.

His prose, his philosophical posturing.

Jesus is an idealist's idealist... committed to the cause of peace, love, and truth, even though it cost him his life.

In many ways I aspire to these same things, except, unlike Jesus, I cuss. It reminds me that I am still human.

And what does it mean to be human?

to love, to hate, to make love, and war, and defy fate, to draw, to lust, to create and inspire, yet still with the full capacity for grotesque and distorted acts that defy rational comprehension...

and that's just in one human day on earth.

I think the best thing that I learned from organized religion is that it is always best to doubt, and question, for we are all flawed, and incapable of perfection... although we still try.

So, fuck the system, the system is flawed. Life is all around us and it is way more meaningful.

Kinda like prose of Jesus, only more human.
